The Women’s Health Psychology Service is a specialist psychological service to support women who are experiencing emotional and psychological difficulties because of their pelvic health condition or perimenopausal/menopausal symptoms.

WHO IS THIS SERVICE FOR?

Our service is for women living with a pelvic health condition as it often impacts coping, psychological wellbeing and mental health.

We specialise in psychological assessment and psychological therapy treatments for women’s health conditions. Offering a range of treatment options which may be delivered on a one-to-one basis or as a group.

It is common for women to suffer a range of difficulties such as

  • Low Mood
  • Depression
  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Persistent pain
  • Feelings of worthlessness
  • Feelings of not being heard or believed
  • Anxiety around medical investigations and procedures
  • Trauma from medical procedures
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Fertility concerns
  • Coping with work
  • Reduced quality of life

HOW IS THE SERVICE DELIVERED?

Appointments may be via video, telephone call or in person.

Patients registered with the Tywi Taf Together cluster of surgeries can access this service.

If you are unsure about making a referral or have any questions, call our service on 07811 719824. If there is no answer, please leave a message and someone will call you back at the earliest opportunity.

Of course, once we have received a referral, the service will be in touch to offer you an assessment appointment.

Following this appointment, together, a plan will be agreed based on what best suits your needs.
